Why Does Anyone Mess With the US

This is probably my favorite plane. My uncle was a test pilot for the Navy as well a NAVAIR commander later in his career. I have been around alot of military aircraft. This is my favorite aircraft of all time. There is nothing on earth like seeing this plan doing practice circles in China Lake, CA and I have seen several very powerful weapons demonstrated (JSOW, JDAM, and MOAD's as well as the cannon from an A-10 and hundreds of pounds of napalm.

This plane is said to be "the closest man has ever come to imitating the fist of GOD"

All of the guns point out the left side of the plane. The plane gets above the target and circles the target in a left .hand banking turn firing it multiple weapons at the targets. I beleive it has a 15mm gaitlin gun, 40 and 100mm cannons but I am not sure on the sizes.

That would be 25mm, 40mm, and 105mm. The armament depends on the variant. I believe the latest is the AC-130U.

Imagine seeing one of those for real from about 5000 ft, 2 miles away...

I've been to China Lake, and was stationed at the post that borders it, which is the National Training Center, Ft. Irwin. There some real hand of God stuff that goes on out there. The Spectre is no joke for sure.

Cool pics.

Great looking pics. Defiantly one plane that puts fear into the hearts of our enemies.

Yep, Spooky it is. The AC-130 Spectre is all business, all the time. I've always said the guy who thought up how to hang a 105mm Howitzer out the side of an aircraft deserves his own medal.

Here's a few vids:
