Hi I am a long time car nut, owned several C5s C6s a Few M cars and a couple of 997.2s, Would like to jump into the Lambo world, I am looking for info as to what I should be looking for, I do know I need an auto style trans due to a bum shoulder. Have to stay in the max of 120k range. any info would be great like what years to look for and what things to check out. Thanks in advance.

 

Sounds like a Gallardo - Coupe or Spyder. Over 80 percent are equipped with E-gear sequential auto gearbox. Not exactly the best gearbox ever built but it does the job. There has been a tiny facelift of the first gen in 2006 when the Spyder came out. Cars now had 520hp and a shortened gearratio. 2008 was the big facelift to second gen - LP 560-4. All over improvements and could still be in your budget (don't know US prices by heart). If u get an Egear version make sure to check the clutch. Some cars have been abused by launch control use.
