Who here has a Lamborghini Murcielago?

Hello guys.
I'm a new member here and I was wondering if there were a lot of Murcielago owners here.

How would you compare a preowned 02-06 Murc to a 05-08 Gallardo?

I have a 07 LP640 and a 09 LP560
Both cars are different cars, the LP640s handling isnt as good as the LP560, in terms of speed, the LP560 doesnt stand a chance against the LP640.

Seating position of the LP640 is angled to the center of the car unlike the LP560.

If youre looking for a FUN weekend car, get a murcielago, if a daily drive get a gallardo

Yeah I unfortunately can't drive a Lamborghini daily as my commute is above 60 miles round trip.

I feel like the doors are a must feature for me personally so I guess a Murc will be worth the price difference.

How is the maintenance on these cars?
My friend had a Gallardo for about two years and barely spent anything on maintenance... Is the murc 02 or the LP640 going to be extremely costly to maintain?

Don't get an early Murcielago...they're rather unreliable...better choice is Murcielago LP580 facelift or LP640

I'm leaning toward 640 although putting that much money (150-200k?) aside just for kicks doesn't seem prudent at all... Lol

You don't drive a Murci because it mars sense. You drive one because its an amazing car and you only love once. You'll spend a lot of sleepless nights trying to justify a 200k car when a 30k car gets you to the same places if that's your logic.

Go for it

Oh yeah I agree with you.

It's just that a car like F430 does something similar for a little less and perhaps fewer headaches (repairs for V12)... I will probably get it next year.

Well that is certainly understandable. Call some repair shops in your area and ask them for prices on services the car may need while you own it. A fully serviced car should get you a year or two without much headache, if any

Sorry man, but what's a "Murcielago LP580 ? And what is a "Murcielago LP 580 facelift" ? The first generation Murcielago has never been referred to as LP580 and the facelifted, second generation is an LP640.

I was wondering the same thing.
I have heard that the murci's are extremely unreliable at the same time they are amazingly fast. For that kind of money, I would get a SCUD if you want exotic fun. A TTS will give you speed and reliability without as much exotic.
A used GT3RS would be perfect IMO, sounds great, visceral drive, and very reliable.

I am baised as I have no interest of any lambo's.
Putting flame suit on now! Bring it!
