I can't speak on behalf of DP, but I'm thinking maybe due to the size tire needed maybe this is all the supplier had readily available.

At the time Continental was backordered on the 235mm front tires, and the 245's would rub when turned. With the fender liners being over $500 each, a 235 from another manufacturer was the only choice.
However, for putting the power down, Taylor has another set of ADV.1's with some sticky rubber.
