Project Comandante - Matte Black Murcielago

Yesterday I found photos of a very impressive looking Lamborghini Murciélago - a bit of research learned it was called the Project Comandante that was built by Inspired Autosport with the help of 360 Motorsports and SR Auto Group.

A mat black 3M vinyl cover, custom made PUR 1NE wheels with factory original crests and a Tubi style racing exhaust turn this early 6.2 Murciélago (built from 2001 to 2006) into a very fresh looking super car.











A matte finish like this sure needs special attention to keep looking right - I wouldn't put normal polish or wax on it to be honest.

 

Wheels are OK, but the color doesn't fit at all. Repaint it in Nero Nemesis.

 

Normally i'm a fan of matte-finished cars, but this doesn't work at all. I don't like the Murci in the first place but this just makes it that much worse.

 

Satin black > matte black. Wheels are nice.

Looks like a kit car. Too matte, and for some reason the wheels aren't doing it for me either...

I was really looking forward to the replies on this one ... I for one love the Nero Nemesis shade, even on the Murciélago (especially the Super Veloce) but somehow this matte black looks wrong.

'looks like chalk paint' put a smile on my face actually ... I guess the owner does like it, and that's what important I guess.
