Import costs

I'm looking at importing a Gallardo from a dealer in the US to Toronto. They don't seem too knowledgeable about import duties. Does anyone have some experience with this as to how this works etc?

Thanks

Careful, there will be modification to be done, only to be performed by a Canadian Lambo dealer.
Get lots of lube.

Other than that, it's the usual sales taxes (federal+provincial) and RIV fee.

You'll have to pay 6.1% duty, and your taxes, and the RIV fee - a proverbial drop in the bucket compared to the hoops you'll have to jump through to get the car legal in Canada, depending on the model.

I import as a side business/hobby, so if you need help sourcing and bringing in anything specific, feel free to PM me.

Pay the taxes and pay lamborghini for a recal letter(a few grand) fill out paper work and your good to go. According to the website gallardos don't require any major changes when they come north.
