Monterey Madness: The Aventador meets his older brother
#47
i really do not know when they strat delivering those roadsters, with such a demand for the A. i know they can make it, but am afraid with the A deliveries scheduled up to 2013 there might not be a point in bringing it early to market. i am still trying to track down a very early roadster delivery, but all the early cars are already reserved. u should def come here during Top Marques, F1 race and the cannes festival, 10 days non stop fun, there is really nothing quiete like this anywhere else (at least in Europe), not even close.
i am grateful to everyone who took the time to read my review and enjoy the photos. i would really like to hear more of your thoughts. i will post in a few days a link to the whole photoshoot on flicker done by a new TS member Kyter.

And you are right, thats a great time to be in the south of France so im going to delay my trip till next spring.....should be a lot warmer anyways. I'm trying to figure out if I will be able to get my new 458 Spider in time though.
P.S Where the hell do you keep all your cars stored anyways?!

Yes, my local dealer saids the waiting lists are still quite long and they are not willing to sell their demo Aventador. But they are going to call me straight away when they get the go ahead from Lamborghini to take deposits down for the roadster.

be sure to pm me when u're planning your visit, and if it is indeed duging grand prix, be sure to make reservations 3 months in advance at least. depends on how long u're staying, id say 3 days monaco for the GP is a must and 5 days in cannes. Cannes is crazy! i even got to walk the red carpet a few times (nope, i am not famous) and the opening ceremony is always loaded, the 9 other days are not as cool, but it's 10 days of partying with celebs all around. and i know alot about the local parties and invitation only events, so pm me later if you need to make up your mind.
cars were stored all over the place (my family rents a 12 slot parking space nearby though, so i store cars i dont need atm there), but, i am moving to a new apartment, and it has 3 parking spaces, will try to rent 2 more. problem is in monaco u have less parking spaces then apartments per building on average.
cant you take delivery of the spider here?
and to people going about how the murcie looks old or not. it is a very strange feeling, when the cars are side by side she looks old, and even the mirrors which i really loved look off, but when you see the murcie in motion you just cant call her old!
anyway, i'm on a ski trip, so will be a while till i'm back to driving. oh, and the batery on the 430 died, again!!! luckily replacing the batery is the cheapest maintenace procedure on any exotic (save for the murcie where you have to remove the real wheel to replace it!) and can be performed by any local garage. Ferrari charges you almost twice the price for the exact same thing...
Ant thx to Kyter again for the amazing photos!
