I agree, I've seen gloss black vinyl hood wraps before. Try looking at other shops or something. I'd wrap the hood and roof before painting them gloss black any day. Congrats on getting everything installed. Might want to lower it a bit. Got a nice wheel gap going on cause of the low profile tires.

3m series 1080, 3.5 mil is a cast film(surface printed vinyl) and Dinoc series, 8.5 mil is a Calendered Vinyl (toners & inks embedded thru out) both recommended for automotive use DO NOT offer gloss black at this time. Any other 3M gloss black products "out of the box" are not recommended for automotive use.
