The Gallardo is due for replacement. Here is the thread where I and all TS members can post up all info, news and pics of the new Lamborghini.
I am 100 % sure that Lamborghini S.p.A will come up with something spectacular. Just wait and see....
The "LP600-4 will have AROUND 600 HP but the main focus is to make the car 80-90 kilo lighter than the LP570-4 Superleggera.
As we speak test cars are all ready driving around but due to certain problems with the Aventador the Cabrera will also be delayed.
And It needs to be special. Here you have some of the competitors:
* Ferrari 458 Italia
* McLaren MP4-12C
* Porsche 961
* Mercedes SL AMG (2012)

Great thread.
I don't remember where I heard this but someone on this forum recently mentioned that Lambo will finally put a DCT in this car. Considering the rather negative comments the Aventador transmission has gotten from testers, a lambo-DCT is well over due. Here is a render of the Cabrera which is obviously a complete guess since no spy shots are out there yet.
BTW what are the problems with the Aventador? The paint or something else?

Where have you read the negative comments reference the ISR 'box? Everything I've seen so far has been fairly complimentary, most reports say it's not as smooth as a DCT but that it suits the character of the car.

I think it's a great idea to start the thread early. All those rumors, spy shots (someday...) will keep us excited and everything will be available to read in one single thread.
And since user who started thread was invited to exclusive presentation of Aventador, I'm sure he will have first-hand news about Gallardo replacement!
