So on Sunday we had the chance to go test drive a few Gallardo's at Bahrain International Circuit. The event was hosted by Al Ghassan Motors.

The cars available for test drives were:

LP560-4 Coupe

LP560-4 Spyder

LP550-2 Balboni (instructors pace car)

LP570 Superleggera (don’t have a picture)

The first session was a bit upsetting and boring, since we were at a Lamborghini track event, and were not allowed to push our capable cars to the limit.

When the second session started, we were all a little excited, hoping that this time we would be able to push our cars a little further, but what was asked from us was to just drive at the speed of the pace car.

I got together with Tips and ZO6Maniac and discussed on how we “unintentionally” could make the instructor to drive a little faster. All of sudden, they called our names-all three of us, together in the same session, with the poor instructor. Turned out to be a fun day!

** The black LP560 had some wheel alignment issues which caused lots of understeer on the track.

And a small note, after driving the LP570-SL on the track, I would choose a 997.2 GT3 anyday over a LP570-SL for track use.

Interesting that it was at Bahrain Int'l Circuit but all the cars are Dubai (U.A.E.) plated...
