LP550 exhaust system
#14
I went with Larini on my Murci. Capristo, Kreissig, and other exhausts...they just cost too much. Capristo is better in terms of cost than Kreissig, but I just didn't prefer the raspy sounds of those two models. The Larini, IMHO, has a note that is more true to the engine's actual exhaut note rather than trying to tune the note to be "brand recognizable" for lack of a better expression. I respect them all, and they are all well-built exhausts. Just comes down to the sound you prefer.
Larini also offers several models for the G, two of which utilize the sound valve if that is your preference.
BTW the Larini uses the factory exhaust hangers (at least it does on the Murci) so there is no worry of cracking or failing of the mounts due to engine movement . Not sure on the G, but by the looks of the anchor points I'd bet it's a similar installation strategy.
Contact Daniel at Ricambi if you go Larini. He'll work up a great deal for you. If you want to hear more sound clips to compare exhausts check out my buddy Jason's site at Exhaust Sound Clip | Hear Car Exhaust Systems | Car Videos | Exhaust Clips. His sound clip and video database is growing by the day.
