Lambo to build the Sesto Elemento

So according to the well repected UK based Autocar magazine, Lamborghini have bowed to pressure and are going to build a limited run of mega expensive track only Sesto Elemento's for autumn this year. Has anyone put their name down for one and who much would you expect to pay?

I really love it but it being a track car only is no good

why do you think that is, they don't want to crash test?

I am hearing 10 cars for 1.3M euro each without taxes. Track-only weapon.

This should be interesting as Lambo is typically known for not having a racing department, and not handling well. Big engine and CF lightweight chasis; however, are a good combo!

Crash testing would be the least of their problems. Current Euro and US safety regulations would make it almost impossible to build the car in its current configuration without major alterations. That would cost a huge amount of money which is currently earmarked for the development of the future Gallardo replacement that is now long in the tooth.

Therefore a track only car is the most cost effective way to build the car and would be able to turn a profit on a small run of cars
