Sorry for the delayed response guys.... sometimes Teamspeed sends me email notifications, and sometimes not. I think it's operating on the "no more notifications until the user revisits the forum" model.

@AudiRS: I've been contemplating painting the calipers. I've been thinking a nice gloss black, to make them pop out a little more. Orange is on the plate too, but it might be "too much" orange...I just can't decide!

@MeanMachine: I hear this a lot, but I actually like the side mirrors being body color. It is something a previous owner did (maybe Roy? I dunno) and I dig it. Diablo side mirrors were body color and I feel like this is a nice hat-tip to Papa-Diablo. It's not for everyone, but I really like them.

@jox: Manuals rule! I'm too old fashioned to get into the flappy paddles, but I do respect the technology. I just hope that in the future we continue to have the choice!

@TommyJames: Hey brother! Glad you're here too! I really like this forum so far. Tidy UI design, folks aren't overly aggressive and seem to respect each other...seems like a fun, relaxing place. Glad to see another good guy and friendly face here!

@Ronin: I KNOW! My wife actually cried a little bit when the Exige rolled away with the new owner (he flew in to drive it home). I REALLY wish I could have kept both but it wasn't in the cards.

@others: Thanks for the compliments! I love my Murci! She might be a little older but she really looks, feels, and runs new. Every moment in that car is precious! Four months of ownership under the belt and I STILL get butterflies in my stomach when I go for a drive.

Very serious withdrawal

Still no parts when I checked today. My girlfriend is convinced the head of the bodyshop is going to file a restrainig order against me

 

I'd be exactly the same way! I really hoped for you that Gallardo parts could be sourced more quickly, given the number of Gallardos that have been sold. Seems like it's the same story for parts whether they are for a Gallardo or a Countach!

I'm watching your threads on the subject as often as I can. Fingers always crossed for you...I know a speedy repair is out of the question at this point, so now it's all hope that she's just perfect when you get her back, even if it takes a while.

Do you have a loaner car from the dealer that caused this whole mess? I think I recall you said that was the case, but often they don't let those go out for very long, even if they caused the problem. I hope they are continuing to do what they can to make things right.

 

No loaner.. Had a 323i rental from my insurance but that only lasted 3 weeks. It's been almost 3 months.
