The parking brake is also typically Audi. The doors will come out and then up. This will dramatically improve structural rigidity and offers weight savings.

Previously because the doors went straight up they couldn't be framed in by the roof (hence the compromised rigidity) and they had to compensate with substantial reinforcements (like a roof, highest point on the car that you want to keep as light as possible, having to be made of steel even in the SV.) which added weights.

My biggest surprise with the car is that the gearbox is still in front of the engine, unlike the more modern setup in the Gallardo which is a lot easier to service. The gearbox itself though is just out of this world, I'm so impressed that they achieved something as clever and innovative as the ISR system. Ever since they said they were dropping manuals altogether I've always thought the biggest potential area of improvement was the shifting mechanism since that was still based on shifting forks as used in a hand operated manual. That is exactly what they addressed.
