I agree with Trax, dealer demos will be there for May. And equally I'm sure there will be customer cars on the road in June.

I'm just not sure which country!

I'm going to guess that almost all the dealer cars will already have been built by Geneva
All those cars on the production line are demo cars. Those will arrive shortly after Geneva as I posted earlier.

But I still think that they will not deliver the customer cars before July or later.

By the way, nice to see you trax!

We agree on the demo cars.

As I posted before, they will arrive shortly after Geneva. But regarding the customer cars.... I would say no earlier than July or later... And I am talking about Europe.

I asked why they did not use a dual-clutch, which most people were expecting. He answered me that they wanted to keep THE Lamborghini feeling, a feeling of the clients SHIFTING gear. In the dual-clutch you dont get this feeling. And also wery important, around 40% lighter. The new gear box has a weight of only 79 KG !!
ya how about they get the feeling of SHIFTING gears by actually putting in a manual

what has happened to Lamborghini? There used to be a time not too long ago when an automatic transmission didn't exist in the world of Lambo and now it's the opposite

Its all about market and customers. The percentage of both L and F cars with manual dropped every year to the number when producing it becomes not profitable and has no sense. Fans at forums begging for manual rarely are real customers for this car, but the majority of customers voted for automated gearboxes and DCTs with the real money transactions. Just remember how every single fanboy was begging for RWD Lambo, they produced the Balboni and its was the most unsuccessful G in history. Similar with manual - fanboys are not equal with customers. And customers don't want manual anymore.

so sad, but true. regards to the balboni how on earth that car doesn't sell well is beyond me. i think more of lamborghini's trust fund customers think awd sounds better than rwd and just go with whatever technology the company tries to promote. Most of them don't really know how to drive the cars properly anyway. Hell my boss has 4 lambos and he doesn't even like cars.

I agree and disagree, the Porsche clients for the GT3/RS/2RS etc do not want anything to do with any type of flappy paddles, there is nothing like a 6mt for them and for me. IMO Porsche makes the last true to life sports car on the planet the GT2RS is it. Lamborghini and Ferrari both make amazing cars but I drove the 458 this has become a docile machine the 16m evokes the sole. Lamborghini for me has no appeal thats just me the current 640/670 is a fat pig of a car and the 560 is nice but I wouldn't own one. And yes the RWD G car was a flop as well, the AWD platform is what works for Lamborghini currently.

I covered only reasons why Ferrari and Lamborghini refused to offer manual transmissions. I have driven 458 as well - it is amazingly capable machine, acceleration, agility, everything is great, may be it lacks some kind of hardcore supercar feel, but I disagree that only manual can offer great fun from driving. Porsche GT3/GT2 is a bit different story at this moment, last of a kind cars for true manual enthusiasts, but I afraid to see what will come with next generation of 911.
