I love the Aventador but this just seems too tame to be given the SV name. OK it is now the LP750 so has an increase of 50ps but I honestly expected it to lose a bit more weight than it has. But my major issue with it is that rear spoiler, I am sure that Lamborghini's boffins have done all their research and aerodynamically it is good for the job but it just looks terrible. It looks like a tacked on aftermarket item or one they found in the Gallardo parts bin. I think Novitec's and DMC's spoilers look far better.
It's just my opinon but this should not have been given the SV name, it should just be the midlife update of the Aventador like the LP640 was for the Murcielago. They should have waited for the last of the line like the Diablo SV and LP670SV. They could then have gone to town shaven a 100 kilo's at least off it and made it the LP820SV or something.
SV has traditionally been the last hurrah of the flagship model range but for me this car dilutes the name. As I have said before I fear that Audi has more influence in this than we know.
Ridgback, Have to agree with you. As much as people dislike the look of the DMC Aventador V1, I feel that look would be aggressive enough to have the SV slapped on it. This version that Lamborghini has brought is down right unworthy. I dare even say it look like something that Mansory came out with when see all the black parts visable.

No problem at all ... in fact she looks rather good in real life, at first I wasn't sure about the color section in the front and rear bumper, but it isn't that bad you know.
About the rear wing, it is different, and that is what Lamborghini went for I think, they didn't want to copy the Murcielago SV rear wing style, but I would have loved something in style with the Aventador J rear wing, I love that 'hanging' design.
The rear wing is adjustable, three settings with a 15% difference in down force according to the press release.
I know all of you were expecting some over the top, limited edition Superveloce model, but keep in mind the Diablo SV (Sport Veloce) wasn't numbered either, nor was it limited, the final evolution or the flagship model ... Miura SV (Spinto Veloce) wasn't limited or numbered either, but it was the ultimate evolution.
Perhaps the fact that not all 350 units of the Murcielago Super Veloce managed to get sold had something to do with the fact they didn't want to limit or number the Aventador Superveloce ... as a matter of fact I'm sure something a lot more impressive is still to come in the Aventador life span.
