I'm a fan of the color, but I'm not of the hood for several reasons. First, Lamborghini spent a ton of money working on the refinements of the SV and I think given it's a collector car, it's value to people is typically most appreciated when it remains stock. Second, the hood distracts from the flow of the lines on the car. It actually makes the front look heavy and clunky and it shortens the overall look of the car. This is why Lamborghini only added stripes to the market-specific cars; to lengthen the look. Third, the design team at Lamborghini wanted to sharpen the lines of the car to add aggressiveness and to the curve of the hood works against the other sharp lines along the hood.

I love the outline of the "SV" on the side as it solved a problem of making it far too distracting. Given the color, it actually works, even though the color lets you get away with a solid "SV" and still look good.

I did my college internship working in a design studio and learned very quickly that more isn't always more.

I absolutely love the color and it's grown on me more and more since I first saw it here. I love bold colors which is why I insisted in VI for my car and held out until they agreed to paint the three cars. As for the exhaust, I can see modifying that if you're dealing with environmental restrictions with the original. I had mine slightly modified by my service guy with what he called a simple "adjustment".

Did you by any chance dyno the car before and after the exhaust mod?

I vote for black calipers with purple lettering.

 

Saw it yesterday, it's exhaust isn't chrome by the way, but it is amazingly loud!
