so exciting...it's kind of impressive Lamborghini is able to still keep this under wraps....

 

My dealer told me base price CHF 450k, so I can't see an optioned up car costing more than an optioned SV (my SV with most options was 580k).

The uncertainty is allocations, because Lamborghini are saying max 1 car for every 2 Gallardos sold. So we still don't know if I can get my car for June.

Good news if you're in the market for a new Gallardo at a discount, I suspect

Yes, but only if my dealer can confirm I can get it for the summer, he is not sure of timing and I don't want to get the car just as the snow and road salt arrives

 

AndrewDinCH, can your dealer confirm that Gallardo successor will be launched at Geneva 2012 for deliveries mid to end 2012 ?

 

I will ask if he knows. Can't see why that timing would be wrong, Lambo need to launch the replacement asap

 

New V12 will be priced between LP640 and SV, perhaps 15% increase over LP640 would be more accurate, but not an 15% increase over SV. Singapore customers were shown the new car today, but unfortunately no leaks, no official name, even no new information, only some details known before. I put some hopes on VIP presentation at L-factory in November, at least few good buds of mine are going there.

Speaking about Gallardo successor, it is scheduled for 2012, but exact timing is yet tbd. I think its depending on development process. Performante is the last irretation of aging Gallardo and there is no way they will be able to stretch the production for few years. And I am with those who think that they need to bring G-successor asap.

It was clear since they launched Reventon, that its more like a concept study paid by customers and will indicate design clues for the future Lambos. And of course some clues from Reventon can be seen in New V12, but it was absolutely predictable. Wait with judgements until at least first pics show up, its a real stunner.

And every Lamborghini is love or hate car. Thats why we love it so much.
