Lamborghini has recently annouced that the color know as

"Monterey Blue" will no longer be an available color order choice.

Also "rossa Vic" has been re-named to "Rosso Efesto".


It was not stated, but can GUARANTEE you this is due to "Vic" from LOC who was the creator of these two colors and had the one named after him. I think they want to do everything possible to put that ugly chapter behind them.

 

Rosso Efesto sound good, I like this name much more than old name. But what about MB? It was one of my favorite Lambo colors ever, will they make a new blue color instead of it?

 

Sad to see Monterey Blue being no long available. Good that they want to move on though.

 

IMO, I dont think they had a choice..I can almost bet VIC had some sort of copy right on the color and names..this is why it has been dropped from Lambo

IMO also, MB cars all just went up a tick in value as well.

 

MB is the same as TdF blue in my mind for their respective companies: Perfect.

Monterey Blue was my favorite Lambo color. Too bad they couldn't just rename it as well.

 

What if the paint to sample color was Monterey? Meaning you want the car in Monterey as a custom color, will they paint the car that color if you desire?

 

That's crazy! Monterey Blue was my favorite color for that car. I'm sure you could probably still get it as a custom color, no?
