Wow, the 458 is fast! I can't believe how quick those shifts are.

The CS/Scud version should be a monster!

You must have only watched the first race where the 458 jumped the crap out of the Gallardo

Thanks for sharing this vid Allan. Balboni is amazing. As mentioned above - do watch all 3 races. 458 is a great machine, DCT works just fine, but given the Gallardo's age and the fact that 550-2 is detuned version, 458 should be faster, but it is not.

The Balboni being detuned is false.. It is not. Same power as 560, lighter weight. In all honesty both cars seem to be very similar in performance. The Lp570Sl should beat them both but we will see.

It doesn't have the same power but the reduced weight gives it an equal power to weight ratio. However with a rolling start I think the Balboni has the advantage over the LP560 thanks to RWD.
I'd say the race is even, all 3 races were won by the car which accelerated first.

Yes, i agree. These cars are pretty pretty equally fast.
Surprises me alot. I thought the 458 Italia is quicker.
Thanks for the vid.

The VB definitely got a jump on the second race and it's hard to tell from the last one. Both cars are very close.

Was expecting the 458 to smoke it ! That particular balboni seems like a factory freak.
