Should have raced the LP560 against the R8.

 

Definitely should've been an LP560. Oh well, still a fun race to watch.

 

Price aside, I would still take the G. Can't stand the look of the R8.

 

Why should it have been a 560? LP560s are more expensive, more powerful, and weigh less. What do you expect? The older G is more of a direct comparison.
I am curious if this is an 04-05 or 06-08.

 

^ Not exactly, depending what year the G is, the R8 V10 would be about 5 years newer and would have much more advanced technology etc. With never driven any of them, ot is hard to judge, but judging from some reviews ie. Jeremy Clarkson says the R8 V10 is one of the best cars he has ever driven, while he was dissapointed by the G. Keep in mind that the R8 V10 uses many parts from the LP560-4, such as its powerplant the 5.2 litre V10. Nice video btw

 

Thanks for sharing, the R8 is more affordable than the LP560 or Gallardo.

The R8 costs 160,000 usd here in Kuwait.

 

It says it's the 500hp G so that would make it an 04-05.

 

Good for the Audi, tough little car for sure with the V-10...

yah 04-05 is slower.

Obviously the 560 is a much better car and shares an engine with the R8V10. But a more powerful version and it weighs less. So what results do you expect? And here in the US they are $80K apart...
The earlier G was a more practical race because they cost approx the same and have a closer HP/weight ratio.
