I just got my car, sv, and in my area, the traffic is constantly a stop and go traffic. Im wondering what is the best strategy to drive in this type of traffic. my current method is to try to push the pedal and let go but that doesn't go so well as after sometimes, i hear the three beeping sounds.
My another questions is what are those three beeping sounds?
Thanks.

Well if it's a manual car I would just leave it in second gear in stop and go traffic. If it's egear, I have no idea what's going on. I do know that you want to put it in N if you're sitting for too long, same with a 6speed.

I've never driven an e-gear but what happens if you just put it in first gear and take your feet off the pedals? Does it just sit there as if it was in neutral? Does it stall out like a traditional manual trans? Does it creep forward slowly like an auto trans?
If it doesn't stall, I would say just blip the throttle in first gear to get it moving and then go back to neutral if you'll be stationary for awhile. Either that, or just drive the Cayman in traffic and save the SV for roads with less traffic.

sorry to disappoint guys. but i cant show picture of my car as it could lead to more complicated things and i wish i have my cayman here, but sadly its located at LA. but my car is number 268/350.
I wish that when i put in 1, the car will creep forward and all i have to do is just press the brake pedal. but the car will stay stationary even you put the gear into 1. Now my only worry is that whenever I press the pedal hard and let go for sometime, the car will produce three beeping sounds and it will continue on the slightest touch of the pedal.

when it is in 1 and you're doing nothing about it, it is just like when you shift into first but you're still pressing on that clutch pedal with your left foot.
doing this a lot in an e-gear or any other paddle shifters (like F1 in Ferrari) will worn out the clutch much quicker. i see a lot of people replacing clutch on their e-gear or F1 tranny cars much sooner than those with conventional 6speed manual gearbox.
