Straight way point by only or open passing?

 

VEry NICE!! I guess this might start a new addiction!!

 

Point by, open passing could be consdidered a race and not "driving school." As for close drafting on the highway, don't hit anyone and injure an innocent bystander. My lawyer has sufficiently scared me out of speeding or racing on regular streets. Not worth losing your ass-ets over, not to mention hurting someone.

OK, off my soapbox now

 

The BMW school has this down. But, they are losing students because they are considered by too many as too strict. I personally do not go to events with open passing simply because I don't trust others that much.

As for bump drafting, that was for messing with your friends. The convoy would have walkie talkie, lead and chase car, etc, and etc.

But right, no racing on public road.

Thanks for sharing the experience with us.. Sounds like you had as much fun as i did the 1st time out on a Trackday.. This week will be my 1st time out in my Gt3.. Im going to live by the " there are only losers on track days".. I wont be 1 of them.. Just going to enjoy the car..

Mike, there was a white 997 GT3 on the track with me. He just picked up the car a few weeks ago as well and put a red roll bar inside. He was the fastest one out there and the sound it made on the back straightaway was ridiculous. Be sure to post some pics!
