Talked to my dealer today. No news expected through 2010. Plan is to carry on building the Murci through 2010 and then close and re-tool the production line for the new car. If you've been to the factory you will see that there is no room for a 3rd line, the Murci line needs to be re-done. My bet (not his) is Geneva 2011. Separately, the LPXXX-4 SL is nearer. No details yet but no surprises - more power less weight and definately AWD. Dealer demos are showing up in the order system for March 10 so probably unveiled Geneva. First customer builds are prob May, spec therefore needs to be finalised Jan. dealers due to get details to allow this before Xmas. I am pencilled in for an early car so will keep you posted.

Correct with some additions..

Factory is closing in two weeks...for Holidays and will extend closing for a up to 2 months due to slow sales. The 670-4 will stop at about 330 units with last orders to be in by December 4th or so. The 670 is a one year build car only. looks as if less than 35 cars will make it to the USA..GO GET one QUICK or call me to help with an order, it is a BAD ASS CAR.

The 640 WILL still be built next year, BUT in very very limited numbers, only on a as "ordered" basis. The line will be slowly switched over, new car to start hitting streets AFTER G town 2011, so May or so 2011.

Yes the LP570-4SV is a reality and will be shown in G town. First cars for the USA in earl May...

Of course I am getting one LOL LOL

Interesting update with regards to the SV since we chatted a week ago; if only 35 of these gal's make it to the USA many folks are missing the opportunity to enjoy one of the "best"; IMO this is phenominal and yet for the few an experince not likely to be forgotten.

I can confirm everything said, I have posted in other threads earlier that safer bet for Murcielago replacement launch is Geneva auto show 2011, that will allow them to finalize the styling and to update the production lines. I am planning to go to the L-factoy next May, so I will update what is happening there.

There were some reports that next SL or SV version of LP560-4 could be RWD I have posted some of them, but to my opinion in reality it will be AWD still, but the front suspension will be very seriously reworked front suspension to solve the understeer problem and to make handling more delicious. Engine is rumored to be good for about 570-590 hp and rather significant weight reduction. There were few reports too good to be true, so I guess we need to wait for official information. But who knows, we just need to wait and see.

There were few reports suggesting that Lamborghini could fill the gap between end of SV and LP650-4 Roadster production which will be soon and launch of Murciealgo replacement with one more special version based on Murcielago, something like RWD Murcielago GT or some other project. What do you think guys, is it possible? I guesst that sales of LP640 will be very very slow next year after everyone say amazing SV, so it seems logical to fill the gap with something exciting and very exclusive.
