I would say no cars are investments, and of the few that become investments, it is only after at least a decade+. That being said, the R8 will depreciate real hard being new whereas the G has already depreciated a bit. I would go with the G because it sounds amazing with the top down...

haha investments as in "toys" I thought it was implied that the second you drive any new lambo ferrari etc off the lot its value is going to drop through the floor at least 10-15 thousand ... but agreed with the g and the noise that comes through the cabin with the top down, heavenly
I wasn't trying to comment on your post per say, it just made me think that even though both will go down in value, the r8 is going to really take a hit. This front end shot put the R8 to shame IMO.
