Hard to compare.
One is loud and showy, and a vert. One is more comfortable and a coupe.
Why not a G coupe?

I'd take the G Spyder, though, depending on options/combo/specs.

I don't know your friend and what he wants to get out of his car but for me it would be a Gallardo all the way.

If he's thinking about an R8 V10 he might want to consider a Superleggera or LP560 (both used).

both cars are great investments. R8 V10 will be a newer car, but not as raw or exciting as the gallardo spyder, I would get a g with low mileage, there are tons of great deals out there ... this one is an 08 with 100 miles on it for 165K
