Looks interesting, and having it RWD is pretty awesome...

Pretty much any color would be better than spicy mustard.

Definitely have to lose the white striped interior.

not the SL version, a special edition something to boost sales as consumer spending is low and 10% lower price with rear wheel drive and special colour might attract consumers.

Mmmmh. I want to be interested, but somehow I can't really dig it ...

Too many special editions that aren't all that special ...

Looks like LP550-2 mule being tested near the Nürburgring.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 on its way to Nürburgring.

Yesterday first official pictures of the upcoming Lamborghini Gallardo LP550-2 were “leaked” to the web.

Now just a day after, LP550-2 has been spotted in the city of Nürburg heading to the famous Nürburgring.

At first it might seem like another Gallardo, but if you look closely you will see the differences. Both front and rear bumpers are different, also we can see a new diffusor. What really makes the LP550-2 different is the lack of AWD. With just RWD the car is lighter and also faster. Power comes from a 5.2-liter V10 that packs 550 horsepower.

Lack of complicated AWD makes this Gallardo also cheaper than the LP560-4. It will be limited to 250 units and will come in a choice of eight different exterior colors with a special white livery.

We expect Lamborghini to release official details in the near future.

It's cool that Lamorghini is doing it right with this car as far as pricing goes. Unlike Ferrari or other companies that remove stuff from the car and charge more for doing so, Lambo got it right by dropping the price while offering less stuff on the car which actually makes sense!

Gallardo race car made by Reiter Engineering was exactly RWD, less powerful and with reduced weight. It will be really awesome if LP550-2 could be Gallardo GT2 for road use, being really delicious, rather hardcore as real RWD Lamborghini must be.

Pics/vid of LP550-2 mule spotted by autogespot team being tested on Nürburgring. What a sound. Also wonder why they put LP640 wheels on SV.

nice video!
but that clicking sound of the Lambo was strange..

the matte black R8 spider should come out just like that
love it!

btw,why does the 550 have less hp than the 560?
Any reason for this?

anyway...with 120kg less than the 560,it will be a beast

The main reason for less power is will to make the car safe to drive and well balanced. I like this car, especially the idea of reducing weight.
