As I agree with some of you on the paint mods, and Strangely bright colored interiors, I just think in japan they take this hobby to another level, and are in many ways more passionate about the cars and the hobby of modifying them, and I know for sure they drive them more. Some of that is not my taste, but at the same time some of it I can see, understand and in small doses even possibly say that it works or i like it. I really think it has to do with culture a lot, but also these machine to them, are just that machines to be played with and done crazy things with, not investments, as so many other people believe. There I am sure it is a status thing too, but I think it is about originality, not having a subtlety modded car that just like some one elses, they really want their car to be different, and they are going to drive it like crazy not just stick in a garage.
