They will replace Murcielago, but not so soon as hoped. I wonder why Lambo having many different special editions seems strange to you, Lambo always have had variety of different limited, special and so on editions based on all models, especially Diablo.

Bugatti is a different story. Bugatti's special editions are some kind of personalisation options to attract the most demanding customers.
