Wouldn't go that far. It's certainly outrageous style-wise, though it's still easily identifiable as a Murc. I wouldn't call it as much a departure from other Lambos, much less other cars in general, as the Countach was in its day.

Anyone who calls himself or herself a gearhead and doesn't like the Reventón is probably the sort of person who would rather stay in bed and read the Times on a Sunday morning than go to a trackday.
And I have a bridge to sell to whomever thinks a flappy-paddled, 4WD, child-safe blender on steroids that handles like its drunk is the end all be all of speed and performance. It looks cool, but as with most Murcielagos, it's pretty far from what I would call a serious driver's car in many areas.

The car is meant to be seen in and go very quickly in a relatively straight line. Take one on a track without serious modification, and all you'll end up with is carbon shrapnel and fireballs.

I suppose, in that respect, it is quite a bit like a Countach. But for me at least, for all the wrong reasons.

I'd rather drive a Miura. Costs about the same, less gadgets and several times the soul.

The Miura isn't any different from any other Lambo as far as being a drivers car. With the exception of the original SV and the Diablo GT/GTR, Lambo has never really built a true "driver's car" per say. They're all too heavy, too unbalanced, and the driving position would never hold up well over long periods of track driving. They're just too hard to drive fast unless you plan on going straight. Even then, most of the older Lambos (pre-Countach) couldn't even manage to go fast in a straight line all that well. The only thing Lambos have ever really been good for imo is drawing lots of attention.

No, but it has style, and has the old-school Lambo crazy that has unfortunately been all but massaged out of the current ones.

While I agree with what Simba is saying only about 15% of car guys even go to track days. I think a lot of people talk a lot of shit and act like they do but most don't. This is why lambo's are perfect for most people that don't lie to themselves and try to say they'll go to track events when in reality most never will.

I wonder if the check engine light comes on if you don't screw the gas cap on tightly enough.

That's a standardized OBDII fault code, so I'd say "yes".
