a $1.5million+ Lamborghini is about as ludicrous as a $1Million+ Aston IMHO

 

AMEN to that! Aston is smoking crack with that One-77. I'd much rather have a Bugatti Veyron Gran Sport... (I know it costs more, but if you can afford a $1M car, then you can afford a $2M car.)

+1. I never understood the point of more than doubling the price of the regular car when you're not even getting 10% more car. It just looks uglier than the "standard" LP640 without providing any performance increase at all. While the bespoke bodywork and interior are neat touches, I just can't understand how anyone could justify the price. Looks like I'm not the only one who thinks this, given the number of them that are available right now.

 

Well whatever they did with the Reventon they were smart as they did sell out all 20 models when it was released. I can understand how come think it should have more increase in performance for that price. But than again if you were in the same shoes and knew you could do it without investing more than just bodywork you would do so yourself. Just smart business; look at Porsche using the same design theory for decades upon decades! It's worked out very well for them.

One more thing to say, it looks to be a BS about Reventons for sale in Germany. There are so many dealers that list some cars they never had just to atract attention, so I guess that there are no real Reventons for sale in Germany, at least my friends who are inside in the exotic cars market here have not confirmed the existance of those cars.

 

Someone could perhaps clean up by taking them all of the market for a 10 years, eliminate the supply, and then sell them for a large premium one at a time because nobody knows how to get ahold of one.

 

Quite likely, but it's a risky proposition!
