PerformanceBox is a version of DriftBox, which was launched in early 2006 to wide acclaim. Subsequent to this success it was decided that a version of DriftBox which does not include the yaw rate sensor, and which therefore cannot measure drift angle, would be a worthy addition to the Racelogic product range.
As a result we are now able to offer a comprehensive package of performance meter and data logger. In addition there is a vehicle power calculation mode, and accurate speed display which will also display Points of Interest.

How Does PerformanceBox Work?
Housed inside the PerformanceBox is a high performance 10Hz GPS engine, which measures Speed, Postion, Acceleration and Heading ten times a second.
PeformanceBox is equipped with an MMC/SD Flash memory card socket. This allows 10Hz logging of Time, Distance, Speed, Position, G-force, Lap Times, and Split Times.
Data logged to the MMC flash card can be analysed in detail using the PC software provided. For convenience, PerformanceBox can be connected to the USB port of a PC compatible computer to download information stored on the memory card.

This is something everyone should jump on. I use the DriftBox in the Panoz, and it's unbelievably useful, and incredibly accurate. I can take a lap's worth of data, overlay it on Google Earth, and have a precise picture of my driving line, as well as seeing the speed against time or distance (how long did it take, and how far did I coast during the shift from 3rd to 4th?), lat/long g's (I need to tweak the brake bias, because I get 1.16g peak lateral acceleration but only 0.88g peak deceleration), and the software lets me replay a lap, showing the friction circle in real time (am I trail-braking properly?), and slip angle.
I'm a huge fan of my DriftBox. That plus the GoPro HD Hero camera group buy is about the best way to spend a grand if you want to improve your lap times.

The Go-Pro will not data-sync with the Vbox, however you can run the Video Vbox for a complete synch. I can run up to 4 can channels with it. If you have needs for more, the Video Vbox PRO can run up to 32 can channels for complete synchronized datalogging.
