Looking for a VBOX? Go no further!
Switzer Performance is glad to announce that we are an authorized distributor for all VBox USA products.
The PerformanceBox is suited to:
View your performance and lap data on the PerformanceBox's built-in display, and log all your data to the SD memory card. Saved data files can easily be stored and compared, to see the difference between cars, drivers, parts, or setups.
Looking for slip angle information in addition to what you see here? Check out the DriftBox.
Do you want to log engine RPM, brake or exhaust temps, throttle position, or other inputs? Check out the VBox Mini.
How Fast Do You Want to Go Sideways?
The DriftBox is the first ever vehicle performance meter with the ability to measure drift angle! In addition, the DriftBox does everything the PerformanceBox does as well:
Do you want to log engine RPM, brake or exhaust temps, throttle position, or other inputs? Check out the Vbox Mini.
VBox Mini:
The VBOX Mini takes the functionality of the PerformanceBox and DriftBox to the next level. The VBOX Mini is able to connect to an optional Input/Output Module that offers eight voltage inputs to see things like steering angle, throttle position, or brake pedal force. The I/O module offers digital inputs for engine RPM or fuel injector rates, as well as two thermocouple inputs, enabling the logging of brake or exhaust temperatures.
The VBOX Mini can also be hooked up to a PC for live data viewing and capture through the included VBoxTools software, making it a great engineering tool for a racer or tuner who can take the additional logged data, along with the GPS-based parameters (speed, lap times, G-forces) and use it to enormous benefit in tuning a car and perfecting driving ability.
VBoxTools PC software (included with VBOX Mini) offers more flexible test options for acceleration and braking tests. Virtually any speed, time, and distance-based reports can easily be configured, saved, and run on any data files. Data can also be exported in a number of different formats, including comma-separated text or Excel formats, to integrate into any testing scenario.
The VBOX Mini also offers all the logging capability of the PerformanceBox and DriftBox, including speed, time, distance, accelerations, yaw rate and slip angle at 10Hz. The serial output of the VBOX Mini can be connected to optional telemetry, digital dashboards, or a video overlay system (not yet available).
For the highest level of flexibility and power, the VBOX Mini provides excellent bang for the buck.
How does this fit in with the PerformanceBox and DriftBox?
Video VBOX 10Hz:
Video VBOX combines a powerful 10Hz GPS data logger with a high quality solid-state video recorder and real-time graphics engine.
Taking multiple waterproof cameras and combining them with a customisable graphical overlay, Video VBOX streams the resulting video onto a flash card or USB stick as a DVD quality MPEG4 file.
The 10Hz GPS engine provides circuit position, lap timing, speed (accurate to ±0.1km/h), and acceleration, amongst other parameters, whilst the optional 32 channel CAN interface retrieves information such as throttle angle, revs, and brake pressure.
The setup software supplied with the system allows users to choose from a number of standard dashboard styles and circuit maps, or even create your own, which you can upload via USB or SD card. For further analysis, the VBOX Tools software provides an intuitive and simple way to delve more deeply into the data recorded by the system alongside the video.
Using Video VBOX is quick and easy. Simply connect the cameras and the GPS antenna, insert the SD card or USB stick, and drive.
Video VBOX Lite 10Hz:
RLVBVD10L Powerful VBOX datalogging and video technology in a user-friendly, affordable product
Video VBOX Lite is a one box solution, incorporating a solid state video recorder, a VBOX 10Hz GPS data-logger and a real time graphic overlay. This combination allows users to carry out detailed driver training and vehicle analysis without the expense and specialised knowledge involved in professional level data-loggers.
Based on the high end Video VBOX, Video VBOX Lite is a more affordable version of what Video VBOX users have called the ultimate track video system. Housed in a rugged plastic box, with a smaller footprint than the parent VideoVBOX, Video VBOX Lite shares many of the same features as the top of the range product.
What can Video VBOX Lite do?
Video VBOX Lite takes the video captured from multiple waterproof cameras and combines it with a customisable graphic overlay, streaming the resulting video onto an SD card as a DVD quality MPEG4 file. A 10Hz GPS engine provides information such as circuit position, lap timing, speed (accurate to ±0.2km/h) and acceleration, whilst a single CAN channel can retrieve data such as RPM.
The data is seamlessly integrated with real time graphics, meaning that video game style dials and gauges can be shown on the multi-camera video, with the option to fully customise the graphics using the included Video VBOX Lite Setup software.

The PerformanceBox is suited to:
- Straight-line performance: 0-60, 0-100, 60-130, 60-0, 0-100-0, ¼-mile etc.
- Horsepower calculation: calculate both wheel and flywheel HP.
- Lap Timing: using GPS, there is no need for an external lap timing beacon. Accurate to 1/10th of a second.
- Speed and Compass display: use it as a super-accurate speedometer, updating 10 times per second, to calibrate or verify your vehicle's speedometer.
