Make sure you get the serial number before buying and checking with V1 to see if it has the current software, and if not how much it'd be to have it flashed.

Valentine One Upgrades

If it needs an upgrade, and the seller is asking $300 or more, it's probably worth it to just buy a brand new one and not have to worry about any history.
