This Audi S5 is the performance-oriented version of the A5, Audi's two-door, four-seat luxury sports coupe. It provides more muscular styling, more power and additional standard equipment. The S5 is built with a 354-hp 4.2-liter V8 engine, mated to either a six-speed manual transmission. Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system is standard, along with exclusive S5-specific standard features such as a sport-tuned suspension, bi-xenon headlights, 19-inch alloy wheels, heated front sport seats and aluminum interior trim elements. Options on this car include a Bang and Olufsen audio system, voice-activated navigation, and Audi Side Assist. The Audi S5 starts with a deep purr, definitely a V8 but refined compared to rumbling Detroit muscle. However, in the upper revs the S5 aligns with the A5 V6's more mechanical song. The gas pedal has lots of travel so the driver can fine tune how much power to apply and how quickly. The S5 is an Autobahn bruiser, its elastic well of torque set up to accelerate with authority from virtually any speed (0-60 in less than five seconds) and is still pulling as it is reined in electronically at 155 mph.

 

How does this car keep from depreciating?

 

It doesn't. In fact the car is out of warranty

 

well we must have different definitions of the word depreciate because this think stickers for less than $60k yet cost $44k 3 years later and with 44k miles. That's not bad compared to other cars

I know he might not get the asking price but these cars are pretty expensice at auction these days

Agreed. It's good looking - other than that it's overweight and slow. No idea how it holds value.
