May I ask what the european exterior lighting programme does exactly, and how/where you got it done?

Zoo,
the euro lighting is programmed by some computer that plugs into the car at the dealership. it changes the the turn signals and corner markers to be "on" when the lights are on then blink with activation of the turn signal ( i think this is how they explained it). a friend who is a Porsche technician in Cali recommended it and supplied the code for my dealer.
