Car and Driver Compares Aston V8 Vantage to Morgan Aero Coupe

It's hard to think of two manufacturers with more pedigree than Aston Martin and Morgan.

Both are ancient. Aston has been building sports cars since 1914 with Morgan starting out only a few years earlier. Like most car companies their age, they've changed over the years. Aston Martin has adapted their cars and engineering to stay on the bleeding edge of technology. Morgan, however, has taken a different path.

While Aston Martin has a modern, sophisticated take on the British sports car, Morgan has stuck to the old ways. Well, mostly anyway. The Aero Coupe has traded their archtypical wooden Morgan chassis for a more modern aluminum one. It also features an very modern and very potent BMW V8. In truth, it's a modern sports car that just happens to look like something from another century. It also happens to cost about as much as the Aston.
