Spied: 2013 Jaguar F-Type R Roadster

Following the photos of the track influenced XKR-S we posted earlier today, here are now some photos of the hotter R-version of Jaguars upcoming F-Type from our faithful Teamspeed spies.

Where the normal F-type will be featuring a six-cylinder engine to fight against Porsche Boxster and BMW Z4, the R-version is expected to sport a V8 under that hood trying to give the Aston Martin Vantage and Mercedes SLK 55 AMG a good match.

The F-Type will start as a Roadster but a Coupe version will follow later on.

 

This car, in V6 and V8 forms is going to be nothing short of epic.

I can feel it.

I actually saw it a few weeks ago at my work with MUCH more camo on it... and it actually looks pretty cool

 

This looks a bit tiny... the front overhang is a bit short... lovely though!
