This Esprit was delivered new in the United States through Lotus Cars U.S.A. It has since new been in West Coast ownership and enthusiastically cared for.

Introduced in 1975 at the Paris Auto Show, the Esprit S1 was designed by Ital Designs Giorgetto Giugiaro. It was based on the M70 concept that was debuted at the 1972 Turin Auto Show.

The striking Esprit S1 is powder by the Lotus type 907 4-cylinder engine displacing 160 bhp (140 Federal spec) with 5-speed gearbox. Given its lightweight fiberglass body and exceptional handling-balance, its power to weight ratio make for a limble and exciting sports car, not to mention good looking!

This exciting new Lotus with its exotic shape was good enough to extent the model range all the way to 2004!

Amongst Lotus Esprit aficionados and collectors alike, the Espit S1 is the car to have. This particular Esprit S1 is a rare find, it is in exceptional original and well serviced condition throughout.

***Please note…This Esprit is currently in the workshop undergoing the following maintenance due to its low mileage and lack of use throughout the years.

It is currently receiving a full service tune-up/maintenance, suspension and brake service as well as various miscellaneous items to bring this Esprit S1 to excellent standards.

The cosmetics are exceptional, although the front bumper does need to be restored-refinished. We are not doing this until the car has found a new home. The bumpers can be restored to as new USA current spec. or modifed to European specification if so desired.
