Debating V12 vantage vs DBS
I have never owned an aston before but currently deciding between a new V12 vantage vs a used 2009 or 2010 DBS coupe 6 speed with under 5k miles. The prices of the cars will be pretty close that price is not a deciding factor. I know the V12 vantage will handle better but most of my driving is not done on twisty back roads so not sure how often I will use the better handling of the v12 vantage. Any thought or opinions from owners is appreciated. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

I have never driven a V12 Vantage but I have driven DBS,DB9 and Vantage on numerous occasions and I would pick the DBS because its more spacious from the inside plus the exterior looks much better than a V12 Vantage specially the rear because of the wide arches.
I prefer the DBS to the Vantage for the sheer size, the Vantage looks too small for my liking. The DBS is a beautiful GT car with nice power level.

if money is not a issue i would pick DBS, imo the vantage line isn't proportioned from some angle and it's a tad small in my opinion when i test drove one. vantage probably corners quicker due to the shorter wheel base. if you want light punchy aston get a vantage(as punchy and light as aston can be) but if you're not always tackling corners i would go with the DBS.

The DBS is quite close in weight to the V12 Vantage as well because it uses a lot of carbon. So the handling difference between the two is pretty small and you'd really only notice on the track or slalom. The V12 Vantage is an amazing car for sure, but the DBS has this other-worldly presence and I think its the most gorgeous car on the road. My vote is DBS.

thanks for all the replies I had been leaning towards the DBS as well because of the size, looks, more spacious feeling while inside and because its not too hard to find a car w/ under 5k miles for 100k off msrp....going to be a manual for me

^^ You are absolutely right, there are tremendous deals on manual DBSs with barely any miles... I saw a Carbon Black Edition for 90k off MSRP with only 3k miles a few months back. It is an amazing car for ~200k.

I went with the V12 Vantage
For me the DBS is just too big a car and it feels like it caters to an older market. It is beautiful, but the Vantage is a better size and to my eyes better looking and more focused. Plus you rarely see another on the road.
I love mine and would recommend it to anyone.
Either way, you can't go wrong. It really depends on your needs.
