Here is some information on the only 1988 Jaguar XJ220 Concept car:
1988 Jaguar XJ220 Concept car built on the chassis of a Group C Jaguar race car.
There are many differences between this concept and production cars.
Primarily, of course, the 6.2l V12 was switched out for a V6.

The Concept is 13 inches longer, has scissor doors, has different headlights, has two fuel filler caps,

has different rear wheels, different wing mirrors,

has different air intakes on both the lower part of the door and on the small side windows,

different gear knob, different interior display and so on.

Interestingly the body panels and fit were surprisingly off by anything up to 8mm. You can actually see in the first picture and fourth that the bonnet, front side panel and door on the left side are bad. Also the headlamp cover on the right is very uneven.

Also the vents for the air conditioning have come loose.

It was incredible to see such a car up close especially as there are few detailed shots online of the Concept. It was intriguing to see the build quality as I had not noticed it the first time I looked at it early this year.
Yes a museum, but you are very unlikely to see this on the road - it has only 9 miles on the clock!
