At Petit LeMans this year Jaguar had a display and drive for the new Jag XKR-S.There were several colors shown...most of my shots are Polaris White and Italian Racing Red. A few shots of Ultimate Black Metallic, beautiful automobile. The Jag Rep said a total USA run of 300 cars over the next 3 yrs. 100 per year to keep exclusivity up. It's listed as a four seater but I swear the 911 has more room in the back seats as this is a very tight fit. It has been a while since I drove a 550hp car. The car pulls like a freight train for as long as you can stay in it and keep breathing.
You just don't get this type of raw straight line performance much anymore, even in name brand sports cars. The sound track in this Jag is the best I've ever heard and I get to see and hear some pretty special cars around the BMW Plant and Performance Center, but nothing like this XKR-S. The Jag folks bill it as the cheapest supercar around as this one starts at $132k USD.
