Spied: Next Generation Lotus Exige
Your next track day racer is almost ready

Today our Teamspeed spies catch the boys at Lotus out and about testing the new Exige. Even though this test mule is wrapped in the typical dizzying camouflage, this Exige looks just about production ready. We can still make out that the new Exige will get a nose that looks very similar to the current Lotus Evora and that the rear also is completely different then any other current Lotus design. The new car has a much larger road presence then the Exige model it replaces.

We believe that this new version is powered by the same 3.5 liter V6 engine found in the Evoras, producing 280 horsepower in the normal version and 350 horsepower in the S version. Stay tuned for more details.

^ Old is gold, it might be nice but you've got the prettiest Exige S.

Sometimes the new car's can be very watered down with these electronic aids and non-essentials. Simple is better and old is gold.

I'm loving the front end but I think it looks a bit too long. With a bigger engine it'll be ruined, imo.

one thing i didn't like about the current exige is that whenever i drive/park it next to someone it looks and feels so small. It also looks ridiculous when i crawl out of it. This one looks a bit bigger, I like it already.

 

Bring on the Esprit!

 

Might be the camo, but man it looks huge compared to the current model!
