In the Team Speed Garage: 2008 Jaguar XKR Portfolio

Great review......
Local dealer called me last November and said that he had something special..... I bought an '08 Portfolio Edition coupe on the spot.
It spent the winter in the garage on a battery tender; just starting to enjoy and appreciate it.

You should check out the E92 M3, C63 AMG those are nice and are quick.

They're on my list also, but honestly I think I want something that's a bit more...sleeper. I'm imagining a lot less police attention in a Jaguar than either of those other cars. Also, I really like all the extra luxury in the Jag, I have the Porsche as a sports car. The m3 and c63 are more performance-oriented than luxurious. Of course this could all change if I actually drive the Jag. I have a minimum standard of performance, but I'm pretty sure the Jag will meet it.

I think the XJ-R is nice, its a true classy British car that still looks and traces back to its routes something similar to the 911's 40+ year traditional look. Jaguars have improved substantially and I am on my second one, the first was a 1997 XK8 and the 2007 XKR is a good daily driver but I dont drive as much as the Cayenne S.
What I like about the XKR is the comfort of the seats, soft and absorbing sport suspension that doesnt feel as rough as a 911 S as an example.

I want that comfort, the ability to pass on the highway (which the x5 doesn't really have), and as low a cost as possible to get those things.

Hehe, I'm not baller enough to rock the 911S as the weekend car and the S-class as my daily driver. The Jag is already above the budget I was thinking of before.
