^ Agreed.

I like the Flying Spur though. In midnight blue with tan seats.

Also, who the hell would buy a Maybach Landaulet? Its more than $2 Mil, it is really just an overly-stretched S-class, and there are probably only 10 people in the world who could and would buy one. It's just more practical to buy a Rolls Phantom or something similar.

Even millionaires have to think about practicality sometimes. Why spend 4 times the price of a Phantom to buy a car thats not much better than it?

The Maybach isn't completely bespoke, shares S-class parts. For 2 million dollars you've got to have something entirely bespoke and not just a parts bin exercise.

Exactly, that's why I'm a bit disappointed by the new Virage from Aston. But as I pointed out in the Virage thread, there are many buyers that will probably buy it over a DBS or DB9, and Aston should listen to buyers before fanboys like me.

Dont like their lineup, too many Bentley's on the road. I feel its lost its exclusivity.

There was too much inbreeding when Ford owned both Aston and Jaguar.

There is too much Jag in the Aston and too much Aston in the Jag.

The Fastest Jag is cheaper than a DBS and much faster. 300k for a DBS, 120-130,000 for an XKR.

Yes, I got that. Hence DB7 vs XK8, XK vs DB9

But do the buyers of these cars likely ever care about how fast it goes. probably 99% of all people that buy these cars buy them for the prestige of owning one, hence the greater interest in Aston.
