It doesn't say how many hours on the invoice, just labour and it was about $700 US.

That would mean over here I can expect to be charged $4k+

I was just as suprised, even the Phantom is cheaper to service and that comes with a full tank of gas + bottle of wine with every service.

Hi jay, none what so ever. I think it is already unique as it is. It's still the only V12 Vantage on the road (excluding the dealer demo) in the country.

It wouldn't seem ridiculous if you knew what was involved. They don't just put it on a lift and swap the oil and filter. The oil change on a CGT takes about 12 hours.

i imagine the annual service covers more than oil change. other things like air filters, cabin filters, brake fluid flush / inspection, suspension inspection should all be part of it.

it is still high but didn't they give you the estimate up front? i would shop around. reality is, they know they can because it's a new car and still a small price to pay for a pricey car like this.

The cost of ownership on exotic cars has always seemed to be double of anything I would think is reasonable. They charge these exorbitant prices because they can. A car is a car. Yes some of the oils cost ~ $25 a quart (i.e. F430 Shell Ultra) but overall they are simply taking advantage of the process. I think a lot first time buyers get blown away when they take the car in for service. I know I was. As they, "it is what it is"

Can you you let us know why it takes 12 hours?

The oil have to be massaged out the pipes with some calming classical music in the background?
