The Aston Martin One-77 is getting its first public outing in the UK today, taking part in a supercar run from London to Silverstone. The run is designed to promote the FIA GT1 World Championship, which takes part at Silverstone this weekend. The pictures of the One-77, which is the first production-ready example made by Aston, were taken in central London this morning.

The Aston One-77 is powered by a 7.0-litre V12 engine, which produces around 700bhp. Just 77 units will be built; each example costs just over £1.2 million. In testing, the One-77 has already become the fastest Aston ever, recording more than 220mph.

Wow is that car ever WIDE! I've been noticing that many of the newer "supercars" are getting wider.

I love the shape of the car but I haven't been a fan of any of the colors I've seen yet. White looks too plain and the blue color they painted the concept car just didn't do it for me either. I'd love to see it in a dark gray metallic.

 

I'll just wait for it to depreciate like all other Astons
