Post First impressions of the Aston Martin Rapide

A couple of days ago I saw this silverish gold Aston Martin which looks a bit weird from far distance, the grille seems wider and has additional lower grille and the head lights look a bit pointy...hmm...walking upto it and well lets say it not an elongated DB9 as what has been told by many automotive jounralists. Its truly an astonishing car, Porsche might of gotten it better with the performance but this is bespoke and in a different league. As with all Astons this is bespoke, handmade and produced in Graz,Austria and not in the Gaydon facility in England.

The colour of this car is called Silver Blonde and its damn gorgeous, let say its silver with a slight hint of beige.

I honstly didnt think this car woud really turn my head, but it sounds great with the valves openning at 4,000 rpm and the interior as with all astons is beyond par. The car has the B&0 sound system like the DBS, the rear seats are sporty and has two screens infront of them.

The doors open slightly up not like Lamborghinis but a unique look to it and not to show off, but to help you open the doors if you parallel park in streets with high pavements so the door doesnt scrape.

Whilst sitting in the drivers seat it really doesnt feel like your average 4door saloon, its practically the DB9 interior with slightlyt different things as there is no longe a hand brake to your left because its an electronic brake next to the handrest

More pictures on the way!!!

Nice write-up I am looking forward to seeing a Rapide in person. This color is very unique and looks quite nice on the car.

Great stuff so far, Mo! I'd take this over the Panamera any day.

Its a great car if luxury is what you want and you want a sleek looking 4door saloon, then this is it. It drives and feels like a sports car, very comfortable car!

This car had the rims in silver colour, you can make it look more aggressive as their is an anthracite finish for the wheels and red brake calipers optional.

There is also a silver finish for the tail light covers the middle portion, the car can be ordered in any colour their are 6 special order colours such as morning frost white, yellow, red , quantum silver and a couple of others I cannot remember.

This colour which is silver blonde is very new, only available on the 2010 Rapide etc.

Their is a couple of new interior leather hides, purple, tuscan tan and a new blue shade as well.
