Some Evora thoughts...

I have read a lot of negativity about the Evora since it has won the Evo COTY and I was very intrigued how it could have beat so many other fine autos. On paper it didn't make too much sense, and the pictures were a bit ho-hum. But a couple nights back I was on I-95 behind one for several miles, and the car certainly looked very, very nice and sounded lovely. I haven't seen the interior in person yet but I am looking forward to it.

Whether or not we agree that it is a COTY, anyone else have any thoughts on it or has anyone been able to drive it?

I don't know many people who have had the opportunity to drive on in the US yet but I wasn't exactly blown away when I saw the demo car about a month back. The interior fit and finish is OK but some of the details feel cheap. It's hard to explain but sitting in the cockpit feels like you're sitting in a really well built 1980's Toyota MR2. It's sort of small but doesn't really feel cramped (until you look where the "back seats" are supposed to be) and feels kind of tinny, if that makes sense. On the other hand, it felt pretty solid but just light, even though it's not quite the featherweight it's older brother is.

Hamster powered on a car that weighs way too much.
