Geoff Goddard (ex cosworth, TWR and many more) gives lectures on my course at uni, and often mentions the R&D techniques that went into making the 'standard' version and the various over racing/road cars hes worked
great stories
here's how they did all the road engine tests without anyone seeing the secret design of the car

Small world!Did this XJ220 ever actually race or was it more of a GT3 RS / Cup Car hybrid prep'd for track duty?
